What We Do
At Path to Movement Health & Wellness we take a holistic approach on Physical Therapy, Sports Performance & Education Movement Events.
A lot has changed since we started in January of this year. Although some things are different there are still a number of values tied deeply to our vision and mission that remain the same.
I wanted to take a moment to re-describe what we do at Path to Movement as it relates to Physical Therapy, Sports Performance, and our Educational Events, Workshops and our new Mobility Class called “Mo-Flow”.
Path to Movement Health & Wellness was created and always will be a company rooted in helping individuals find a way to perform what they love over a lifetime.
We know how important it is to get over obstacles such as training mishaps, injuries and nagging pains. In the short term there is a lot of value to getting the help you need to clarify your problem with an individualized approach.
This is the bread and butter of how we use Physical Therapy to help active adults in the Swarthmore, PA area continue to do what they love without having to take unnecessary time off for “resting their injury”, getting diagnostic imaging, medications, injections or surgery.
However once you have acquired the tools to start moving freely we can be very specific in your sport to improve your performance. For Runners, this is where our Running Gait Analysis and Video assessments come into play. Giving you insight on form and function will help to ensure you can preserve your level of activity for the long haul.
In the end, we understand the importance of playing the long game. There will always be a need to improve upon strength and mobility to deal with the immediate concerns but we need to have a bird’s eye view of what we expect our body to be capable of as we age.
And that’s where our Educational Events such as Workshops, our Retreat and our new Mo-Flow class come into play. The importance of how we move and the behaviors in which we continue to move ultimately predict our longevity, our joy and fulfillment that we get out of participating in the activities we love.
It is our mission that no matter what scenarios are thrown at us, you will always feel prepared to have the tools and knowledge to become stronger, more capable and resilient.
Our lifelong movement philosophy is rooted in a Mantra that has served me well through countless tough times of sport and life. It is my hope that this approach can also serve you when the going gets tough.

“I am capable” - I will rise to the challenge and give it nothing but my best effort.
“I am resilient” - I can withstand discomfort & no matter the outcome, I will adapt and learn so I am ready to go again next time.
